BYD Cars Singapore - ATTO 3 EV Launched on 8 July 2022

On 8 July 2022, SG Family Man was invited to the launch of the the all new BYD ATTO 3 fully electric SUV at the Vantage Automotive Centre at 305 Alexandra Road. The ATTO 3 launches in Singapore with a slew of interesting technological features, including their proprietary blade battery design, patented 12.8 inch rotating touchscreen, and a range of 480km on a single charge - eliminating any notion of range anxiety. Riding off the success of the BYD E6 electric vehicle, the ATTO 3 adds another dimension to the electric cars offered by BYD in Singapore under authorised distributors E-Auto, a division of Vantage Automotive and member of Sime Darby Motors Group.

One of the biggest talking points surround the ATTO 3's launch is the utilisation of BYD's revolutionary blade battery which not only boasts safety properties over regular car batteries, it also allows for better space utilisation in the cabin, as well as being capable of accepting faster charge rates when such high speed chargers eventually come online. During the presentation, it was mentioned that using the blade battery platform, a 5 minute full charge in the future would be possible.

Entering the market amid tough COE environments, the ATTO 3 launches at $178,888 inclusive of COE, and will come under direct comparison with the MG ZS, Hyundai Kona, and sub $200,000 EVs. The ATTO 3's price however, is based a CAT B COE, due to the 201 bhp it produces, making it an extremely value for money EV in Singapore's market.

Consumers you wish to try out the BYD ATTO 3 will be able to test drive the car at E-Auto's Showroom, located at level 2 of the Simem Darby Centre which houses Vantage Automotive. Consumers can also expect to see higher levels of build quality than ever before, along with some unique a quirky design cues on the ATTO 3, such as the dragon scaled C-pillar, muscle sinew inspired leather stitching, as well as dumbbell inspired air-conditioning vent.
